As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist the plan is always to encourage the Client to identify their goals while in counseling. Part of this process helps the Client to uncover personal obstacles, examine negative self patterns, and create a life that is worth celebrating.

While a Therapist can't change difficult situations from the past, or the present the Therapist can work together with the Client to better understand and resolve life challenges. The Therapist will help the Client unearth long-standing behavioral patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding them back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
